Led Zeppelin fans have even more reason to be excited about the new reissues coming out in 2014: During a recent interview with BBC6, frontman Robert Plant says he recently discovered some “quarter-inch spools” containing unreleased material from the band, and he hopes to include those tracks on the reissues.

Plant says he met with guitarist Jimmy Page after the discovery, where they pored over “some very interesting bits and pieces.”

“I’m desperately trying to get this one track – or the two tracks – of John Paul Jones singing lead,” Plant says. “And so far, (Jones) is up to giving me two cars and a greenhouse not to get ’em on the album!”

We can only hope Jones’ pitch isn’t convincing enough.
