Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Detroit Rock City

As we’ve previously mentioned, Sam Roberts Band are sort of a big deal north of the border – having racked up Juno awards, top selling albums as well as scoring the number one song on the R3-30 indie chart. While they may not have caught on in the States just yet, the band does have a knack for combining jangly guitar rock with big pop hooks that is undeniably catchy.

The Canadian rockers latest album Love At The End Of The World – which has been readily available in their native country since last May, where it debuted at number one – will finally get its US release tomorrow.  Let’s check out the video for the piano-infused, bar-rocker Detroit ’67…

Sam Roberts Band kick off their cross-country U.S. tour tomorrow night in Portland, ME – before heading to the Big Apple for a show at the Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday night.

  1. Love these guys! Living in Buffalo (until recently) I had the opportunity to see and hear them in clubs for several years now. They put on one hell of a show and if they are coming to a town near you, I HIGHLY recommend you go see them! Check out their last two albums as well, Chemical City and Born in a Flame. Good stuff!
