Televised Tune: On The Tube This Week

On Thursday at 6pm, Ovation will air the awesome documentary Grateful Dawg, which chronicles the musical and personal relationship between Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. The film includes plenty of live music, but more interesting is the footage of them interacting with each other as friends or sitting in a living room plucking away on some traditional bluegrass tunes.

Interviews with friends and family are mixed with archived footage and performances from many eras to paint a wonderful picture of the duo as musicians and friends. Be sure to check it out on Thursday.
