Announcing: Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup

Throughout the 1990s Perry Farrell’s traveling Lollapalooza festival was a staple of the summer concert season bringing together an eclectic mix of acts from the worlds of alt.rock, metal, hip hop and punk. Since returning in 2005 as a multi-day destination festival, Lolla has cemented itself as one of the premiere US festivals, and after last week’s “hangman” line up tease fest organizers have unveiled this year’s initial batch of artists that will descend onto multiple stages at Grant Park  in the Windy City.

Lollapalooza 2010 will be headlined by a reunited Soundgarden, punk-rockers Green Day and pop-princess Lady GaGa. Joining those top tier acts this year will be The Arcade Fire and The Strokes who will both be making their first scheduled US appearance of the year, along with a number of HT faves such as Phoenix, Jimmy Cliff, The National, Deer Tick, Blitzen Trapper, Dawes, Frightened Rabbit, Mumford & Sons and These United States.
