The Number Line: Bonnaroo 2010

Bonnaroo Week rolls on here at Hidden Track with a feature for the stat geeks everywhere. Now in its ninth year the fine folks at Superfly have again crushed it with a diverse offering that’s sure to please even the pickiest of music snobs. As we took a look at this year’s lineup we were struck by the amount of the ‘Roo alumni that have routed their summer tours to include a stop in Manchester in 2010. So we figured we’d once again lay out a list of the folks who just can’t stay away from Bonnaroo, followed by a few fun facts to help keep you busy on your way into the festie…

Other Quick Festival Facts:

  • Les Claypool has played nine different sets of music at Bonnaroo
  • Three of Bob Marley’s sons have played the fest – Ziggy, Stephen and Damian
  • Technically this will be Nas’ second time at Bonnaroo, he sat in with the Beatie Boys for one song in ’09
  • Norah Jones, Galactic, John Butler Trio, the Disco Biscuits, Umphrey’s McGee and Les Claypool all shared the bill at the inaugural Bonnaroo in 2002
  • This is the second year in a row that no member of the Grateful Dead is performing, after at least one had appeared in the first seven years
  • This is also the second time in fest history that no member of Phish is on the bill after at least one being on it, the other year was 2008
