Combining Steve Kimock, one of the four or five leading improvisational guitarists around, with Bernie Worrell, co-founding keyboardist of Parliament/Funkadelic (and a performer with Talking Heads), is simply one of the most interesting musical pairings any of us will see or hear this year. Throw in the brilliant percussionist Wally Ingram (David Lindley, Sheryl Crow) and bassist Andy Hess (Gov’t Mule), and you have a truly exceptional band.
The new December dates kick off at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and include a return to StageOne in Fairfield, CT, a stop at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY, and a special night in New York City, where on December 8th the quartet will help launch a new club, Stage 48.
A free live EP is available, featuring songs culled from the band’s first run, this past spring. A sonic snapshot of serious grooves, stirring improvisations, heavy funk and tight-as-a-drum rock and roll, the EP includes several Kimock originals. The free live EP is available for download HERE.
