On Friday the 13th, complete with an extremely rare, full, harvest moon, living legends and two of the founding members of The Who, took to the stage to rock Boston’s Fenway Park. For the band’s Moving On! Tour, Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar/vocals) along with their touring band that features Simon Townshend (guitar/vocals), Loren Gold (keyboardist), Jon Button (bass), and Zak Starkey (drums), joined together with a 48-piece orchestra, conducted by Keith Levenson – to perform the band’s stellar collection of classic hits, some deep cuts and even a pair of new and unreleased songs, “Ball and Chain” and “Hero Ground Zero”. The orchestra featured soloists Katie Jacoby (Violin) and Audrey Snyder (Cello) along with Billy Nicholls (Backing Vocals). Highlights from the set included “Pinball Wizard”, “I can See For Miles”, “5:15” and the finale “Baba O’Riley”. The Who, which formed more than 50 years ago in London, announced their forthcoming studio album WHO before the show.
