Warren Haynes Christmas Jam 2010: Recap, Setlists, Video, Photos & Audio

Last night’s marathon show concluded with a set from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band that contained plenty of guests throughout. Warren Haynes came out for Papa Was a Rolling Stone and stayed out for covers of That’s What Love Will Make You Do with Ron Johnson and Spanish Moon with Johnson, Ivan Neville and Artimus Pyle. John Bell added vocals to Superstitious, which also featured Ron Holloway on sax. Haynes returned for the show-closing Use Me that also saw Bell and Holloway stay out.

All post-production proceeds from Christmas Jam will go to Habitat to Humanity. So far, 16 houses have been built will money raised by previous Xmas Jams.

  1. Amazing pictures! Love how the light show was captured on film. Warren Haynes Band looks like it’s loaded with musical chops and talent. The Ruthie Foster CD “According to…” is one of my favorites of the year. Got to see her band live this past summer. I’ve also seen George Porter play with Gov’t Mule and thought he would have been a great replacement for Woody.
Merry Christmas Warren and enjoy some time off. Thanks for another great charity event. Hope to see WHB live and in person and don’t forget Gov’t Mule either.

  2. WHB looks like it has huge potential. Kind of interesting that Derek Trucks is also doing something more soul/R&B flavored – both Derek and Warren seem to be headed in the same musical direction, at least for a time… Love Mule and DTB, but also loving this new/old stuff! Looking forward to seeing it myself live in 2011! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year Everybody!
