Announcing: Outside Lands 2011 Lineup

The Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival returns to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park for the fourth year on August 12 – 14 boasting a lineup that features headliners Arcade Fire, Muse and Phish. HT faves MGMT, Girl Talk, The Original Meters, The Warren Haynes Band and the Greyboy Allstars are also among the acts scheduled to perform during the three-day fest.

Phish’s spot at Outside Lands, where they are set to perform two sets, will be the band’s third appearance at a multi-artist festival since returning from a breakup in 2009 (Bonnaroo 2009 & Austin City Limits 2010). Arcade Fire can’t seem to get on enough festival bill’s this summer as the group’s Outside Lands appearance follows spots at Coachella this coming weekend, Bonnaroo in June and more than 10 European festies. 1. Single day tix? Last year they had ’em, and I’m guessing I know as much as anyone, but if you have insight, please share. Not one for 3 days of music, but it’s literally 5 blocks from my house and I’d love to see Phish.

Also, it’s somewhat sketchy, but totally possible to listen to the entire fest from outside the gates if you’re broke like me. Literally heard the entire MMJ set crystal clear from my lawn chair with a beer in my hand.
