As we first reported, Chicago’s aliveOne celebrated its 15th anniversary on Saturday by welcoming a project called Motorboat featuring Umphrey’s McGee’s Ryan Stasik and Brendan Bayliss, Chuck Garvey of moe. and North Mississippi Allstar’s Cody Dickinson to perform their first gig. Motorboat wound up playing two sets chock full of classic rock covers as well as a pair of encores for the small crowd.
We’re hopeful a recording of the festivities surfaces, but we’re not holding our breaths. Here’s the full setlist from Saturday night via The Bort…
Set One: Manic Depression, Cocaine, London Calling, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, Time, Bell Bottom Blues, Freedom of ’76, Crossroads
Set Two: Bennie and the Jets, Girlfriend is Better, Fool in the Rain, Lively Up Yourself > How Many More Times > Lively Up Yourself, Baby You’re A Rich Man, Godzilla, Can’t You Hear Me Knocking?

If anybody was lucky enough to score entry, let us know what you thought.

love to hear this show!
Got in to the motorboat show! Thought they were awesome! One of the best bar shows I’ve seen in a long time. I wasn’t sure what to expect. All covers all night. Chuck and brenden were both rippin it up! Stasik and Cody were machines! Never missed a beat. They had the keyboardist from spare parts play on the first few songs of second set. The whole crowd was drunk as skunks! Three hours of open bar for everyone! Really fun show. Are they goin to play more shows? I can’t find any info.
I’ve have video if the entire show. Working on editing but it will be out soon.
