Big Man’s Nephew Among New E Street Band Members

In a surprise announcement, Bruce Springsteen revealed that the E Street Band will expand for its upcoming tour. Singers Cindy Mizelle and Curtis King, trombonist Clark Gayton and trumpeter Curt Ramm, all of whom have toured with Springsteen in some form previously will join the tour along with Clarence Clemons’ nephew Jake Clemons, who will share his uncle’s role with Sessions Band sax player Ed Manion. Newcomer Barry Danielian on trumpet is also part of the touring band.

According to Backstreets, this is the same lineup (with the exception of Clemons) that backed Springsteen and the ’78 era E Street Band at the Asbury Park Carousel House in 2010. Both Mizelle and King were featured on the last few E Street Band tours, while Jake Clemons has sat in with the group in the past. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at The Grammys on Sunday night. The Wrecking Ball Tour kicks off in earnest on March 18 after a one-off at the Apollo.
