The Debut of Instant Feedback and Rogue Wave’s Twitter War w/ We The Kings

One of the prevailing characteristics of Twitter is its immediacy – a simple tweet or retweet and nearly anything can go viral. After Lollapalooza announced its lineup late Monday night, we asked our @Hidden_Track followers for #instantfeedback on how they ranked the list of performers on a scale of 1-10.  Based on the responses to our crowdsourcing, the lineup came in at a very average “5.”

In a different sort of twist to getting instant feedback on Twitter, Californian indie rockers Rogue Wave found themselves in Cleveland ready to play the Springfest at Case Western Reserve University, but without any instruments due to an airline losing their luggage. The band allegedly asked headliners We The Kings to borrow gear, to which We The Kings allegedly refused. Rogue Wave then took to @roguewaveband to ask their fans for some instant feedback on We The Kings. READ ON for more on this Twitter war…

Hayes Carll/Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit : Lincoln Theatre, Raleigh, NC 4/19/11

Hayes Carll and Jason Isbell are modern-day troubadours, constantly crisscrossing the country while becoming distinctly familiar with the beer-stained walls and sticky floors of rock club dressing rooms, not to mention the occasional belligerently drunken fan such as the old-enough-to-know-better jackass that doused Isbell and his bandmates almost as soon as they took the stage this night.
