Big Red Guests at Green’s Event

Back in May we broke the news that Phish’s Trey Anastasio had started working with a new songwriting partner – Broadway vet Amanda Green. The first fruit of the pairing’s labor was Burn That Bridge, which Classic TAB debuted at the Hangout Festival.

Last night at an event titled “The Songs of Amanda Green,” Anastasio played guitar and sang with his new friend at NYC’s Birdland. Broadway actors Jenn Colella, Ann Harada, Andy Karl and Howard McGillin also contributed their talents at last night’s performance as Matt Gallagher led a band of Broadway musicians in backing the vocalists. No word yet on what Trey sang and played with Green at the gig. Playbill’s website has a photo gallery from the event which includes a number of shots featuring Anastasio.

  1. Yeah, he always used to wear the same two on tour: “Deset Patnact” and “Neehan”. Then once in a while you’d get marvin the martian.

  2. What is “deset patnact”? It means “ten fifteen” in Czech. I always figured he picked it up in Prague in 98. What does it reference? I think Neehan is a clothing company.
