Couch Tour Alert: Terrapin Crossroads To Offer Live Webcasts of Phil Lesh and “Best” Friends & The “Q” Shows

As we’ve mentioned, the Grate Room at Grateful Dead / Furthur bassist Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, Calif. has been re-opened after a renovation. The first gig at the “new” Grate Room took place on Thursday with a variation on Furthur and continued last night with the first of three Phil & Friends’ performances featuring the unbelievable lineup of Lesh, John Medeski, John Scofield, Warren Haynes and Joe Russo which will be followed by four nights of the fan-favorite “Q” band (Lesh, Haynes, John Molo, Jimmy Herring and Rob Baracco) on Dec. 6th – 9th.

The first two shows from the re-opened Grate Room were webcast on a Pay-Per-View basis for $7 a piece, but there was no word on future webcasts. Well that has changed as now you can buy webcasts of both remaining “Best Friends” shows as well as all four nights of The “Q” via the Terrapin Crossroads website. Great news for those of us out of the area or unable to score tickets.
