‘How I Met Your Mother’ delivers one of the better Fall Finale’s I’ve seen so far.
This was another episode delightfully stuffed with callbacks to earlier this season and earlier this series.
The stories (while beautifully tying together) are pointless vignettes that have zero bearing on character or story development. It’s a throwaway episode that’s disguised as fun storytelling.
Unfortunately, tonight’s episode crammed too much into each story to let any funny gags or jokes fully resonate.
It’s hard to imagine that we need another episode dealing with Ted’s feelings for Robin, but it’s worth your time for the Mother meeting and plenty of inside jokes.
Last night’s episode is definitely Sweeps-worthy
Despite the sheer absurdity of much of the episode, the structure and characterizations were true to form
Despite a few great stray one-liners, this episode is another dud in the season.
‘The Poker Game’ was an inevitably mediocre episode. John Keith tells us why.
