Over the years, they have developed an alter ego band with the namesake, Coffee Bean Brown. Coffee Bean Brown is known for playing impromptu shows that display their acoustic side while focusing more on singer/songwriter Trevor Garrod’s timeless songwriting skills. These shows are special for the few Tea Leaf Green fans who attend and now they are offering one of their most intimate shows available with clear, crispy quality.

In the midst of a 21 minute Macumba, PGroove’s catchy Penguin-themed favorite, the band goes AWOL into a stellar rap medley in front of an almost hometown New Years show in Athens, GA. Covering a marathon arsenal including Pass the Mic (Beastie Boys), Let Yourself Go (Big Daddy Kane), California (Athens) Love (2Pac), 99 Problems (Jay Z), Lollipop (Lil Wayne), Whatever You Like (TI), Gin and Juice (Snoop) and lots more, Brock Butler and Perpetual Groove gave fans a real New Years treat as they basically covered the past 20 years of rap in one medley.

Both accompaniments encapsulate the ‘fledgling rock band sweating it out night after night’ motif, though this one leaves you with more than just potential. Rock ‘n’ Roll Band is a colorful chapter in what promises to be a grand career.
