33 Years Ago Today- Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble Released Debut Studio LP ‘Texas Flood’ (Watch “Pride and Joy” Live at Montreux ’82)

33 years ago today (6/13/83), Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble released their debut studio LP Texas Flood, released on June 13, 1983 by Epic Records. Produced by the band and recording engineer Richard Mullen, it was recorded in only three days at Jackson Browne’s personal recording studio in Los Angeles. Vaughan wrote six of the ten tracks on Texas Flood. Two singles were released from the album: “Love Struck Baby” and “Pride and Joy” both of which are staples on classic rock radio.
