50 years ago today (1/5/73), Bruce Springsteen released his debut studio album Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. As primitive as the scenic postcard that framed the album cover, Greetings featured the singles “Blinded by the Light” and “Spirit in the Night, while the musicians on it included a pre-E Street band lineup of Clarence Clemons, Vini Lopez, David Sancious and Garry Tallent.
