Motion City Soundtrack Announce Fall Tour

Critically acclaimed pop-rockers Motion City Soundtrack announce a fall headlining tour of the US in support of their forthcoming release, Even If It Kills Me – out September 18^th on Epitaph.  Following an extremely successful sold-out summer tour, a killer performance at this year’s Lollapalooza and a whirlwind trip to Japan to play the legendary Fuji Rock Festival, the band will be returning to the road this fall for a 40-City tour of the US including the Voodoo Festival on October 27^th.  Kicking off on October 17^th at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, MI, the trek will take MCS to a number of established and well known venues including The Roseland Theater in New York City, The Wiltern Theatre in LA, the Warfield in San Francisco, the 9:30 Club in Washington DC, and Stubb’s in Austin – ending at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL on December 16^th.

Already setting out to be an instant fan favorite, Even If It Kills Me finds Motion City Soundtrack perfecting their trademark blend of indie rock riffs, bittersweet melodies, driving synths, and droll-yet-earnest lyrics.  Produced in parts by the duo of Fountain of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger and Girls vs Boys’ Eli Janney, and, by pop-rock legend Ric Ocasek, Even If It Kills Me is a heartfelt examination of the human condition, at turns both comic and tragic and is the follow-up to the band’s incredibly well received sophomore release Commit This To Memory, which has sold more than 270,000 copies to date.
