Last night the Sound City Players rocked Hollywood with a lineup featuring Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters, Rick Springfield, Krist Novoselic, Stevie Nicks and John Fogerty as well as members of Rage Against The Machine, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Cheap Trick. The guests shuffled in and out to play the songs for which they’re best known as well as cuts from the Sound City soundtrack. Our friends at CoS have just revealed that the Sound City Players are headed to the Big Apple.
On February 13th Grohl will round up the members of his supergroup to perform at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. There’s also plans to play a batch of international shows and a SXSW showcase, according to Grohl. Tickets go on sale February 5th via Ticketmaster.
Here’s the NYC formation of the Sound City Players…
Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Lee Ving, Brad Wilk, Rick Nielsen, Alain Johannes, Chris Goss, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Krist Novoselic, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Dave Grohl & more

Nice!
So amazing that the Sound City Players are coming to NYC. Wish I could see that show, but I’ll have to see the film instead as I think tickets are sold out… the movie is so great though, check out the trailer: http://smarturl.it/SCtrailer
