Bonnaroo 2013: Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon – Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mumford and Sons

Today is Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Day and this year Superfly and AC Entertainment have tasked Weird Al Yankovic with announcing the acts that will play Bonnaroo 2013 on June 13 – 16.

Paul McCartney will make his first Bonnaroo appearance this June, while fellow headliners Mumford & Sons and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers will return to The Farm. HT faves Wilco, Pretty Lights, David Byrne & The National, Passion Pit, Animal Collective, Jim James, Gov’t Mule, Portugal. The Man, Trombone Shorty and Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers are also set to appear at Bonnaroo this June. Superjam wise, we’re excited to see Jim James paired up with Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, John Oates and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for a Soul SuperJam, while actor Ed Helms will front a bluegrass jam session. Also of note, Weird Al himself will appear at the festival.

  1. So many bands I’ve never had the pleasure to see! If I’m lucky enough to go, should be some great new discoveries !

  2. This started with JAMBANDS. You know, musicians who could improvise and had some virtuosity?!?!?! Now I see a list full of musical hacks, thieves and autotuners. All this pop and hip hop is barely music. A drunken monkey could perform most pop. And hip hop? FFS, most of them just manipulate files and rhyming dictionaries – they’re surely not musicians. This is teh suck.
