Eugene Hutz, the eccentric frontman for Gogol Borello is set to star in the lead role of A.K., in Madonna’s film directing debut in Filth and Wisdom, due out in 2008. Gogol Bordello is also slated for an appearance in the film. Hutz recently played with Madonna at here Live Earth performance during “La Islan Bonita.”
Hutz had a lead role as Alex in Everything Is Illuminated, based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Jonathan Safran Foer.
