Ever since Umphrey’s McGee moved their New Year’s Eve celebration from their hometown of Chicago, they have visited The Pageant in St. Louis for a three-night stand in 2011 and Atlanta’s Tabernacle for a four-night stand in 2012. At the end of this year, UM has revealed that they will play three shows at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado to ring in 2014.
The wrinkle in the announcement is that the three shows are set for December 28, 29 and 31. As of now, there’s no show scheduled for December 30. However, UM keyboardist Joel Cummins tweeted that the reason there’s currently no show on the 30th is for reasons that “will reveal themselves with time.” Consider our interest piqued. No word yet on when tickets go on sale.
