Tori Amos Prepares New Album And US Tour

On May 13th, Tori Amos is set to release her brand new studio album, Unrepentant Geraldines on Mercury Classics/Universal Music Classics in the US. Unrepentant Geraldines is pop/rock in both content and feel and is a change in pace from Amos’ most recent releases.

It’s been a busy five years since Amos’ last studio effort of original songs (2009’s Abnormally Attracted To Sin). Since then, she’s put out a holiday album (2009’s Midwinter Graces) , retrospective recorded with the Dutch Metropole Orchestra (2012’s Gold Dust) , a classically-influenced song cycle (2011’s Night of Hunters), and a new musical – The Light Princess, done with book writer Samuel Adamson and director Marianne Elliott, which debuted in Fall 2013 at London’s National Theatre. But, with Unrepentant Geraldines – Amos’ 14th studio recording – she returns to her core identity as a pianist and contemporary songwriter.
