Elvis Costello To Turn TV Host

Elvis Costello is set to become a TV host when he takes on a new show to be aired on the Sundance Channel.

The singer will present ‘Spectacle: Elvis Costello With …’ , which will see Costello talk in depth with stars, in the hope of gaining an insight into the personality that may not have previously been known. The show will be produced by Rocket Pictures, owned by Elton John.

‘I’d rather hear about a bright secret, a deep love or a curiosity that might be otherwise obscured by fame. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk in complete thoughts about music, movies, art or even vaudeville, then frame it with unique and illustrative performances,’ Costello told Billboard.com.

The show will air on Channel 4 in the UK.

This is not Costello’s first foray into the TV world. In 2003, he guest- hosted The Late Show on CBS while David Letterman was ill.
