Coheed and Cambria announced today that they will be touring the US this fall, performing their landmark second record, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 in its entirety. The tour, entitled NEVERENDER IKSSE:3, will take the band across North America commencing on September 5, and ending October 7th. Support will be from Thank You Scientist. Full list of dates below.
Last Friday, fans of the band were teased with a timer and a rotary phone image on the band’s website, along the familiar Coheed phrase: “When it rings, will you answer?” This encouraged over 15,000 fans to enter their mobile phone number in a space provided. Those who did received a recorded greeting and text this morning (Monday) from singer Claudio Sanchez speaking as his character, “The Navigator” with a special password. Callers got first dibs on tickets, early entry and a special intimate acoustic performance by the band before doors open, as well as a cassette tape with the original demos from the album.
In Keeping Secrets… The epic 69-minute recording exploded upon the music scene in 2003, with its mix of progressive-rock elements with catchy alternative-rock melodies, selling over a million records worldwide. T
