J Mascis To Release ‘Tied to a Star’ August 26th via Sub Pop, Tour Dates Planned

The release date on J Mascis’ previously announced album Tied to a Star has been revealed for August 26th in North America via Sub Pop. The album, led by the songs “Every Morning” and “Wide Awake,” was recorded and produced by Mascis and mixed by John Agnello at Bisquiteen in Amherst, MA. Tied to a Star also features guest appearances from musicians Ken Maiuri (Young@Heart Chorus), Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession), Mark Mulcahy (Miracle Legion) and Chan Marshall (Cat Power). J Mascis’ North American fall tour schedule in support of Tied to a Star begins September 24th in Hamden, CT at The Ballroom at Outer Space and currently ends with a two-night stand November 21st & 22nd in Denver, CO at Larimer Lounge. Preceding the tour is a festival appearance on July 26th in Carnation, WA at Timber! Outdoor Festival. Please find a complete list of tour dates below.
