In support of his upcoming solo album, The Green Sparrow (more details below), Mike Gordon will embark on a headlining club tour beginning August 3rd in Philadelphia, PA. The 20-plus date tour will include select festivals and will coincide with the release of his new album out August 5th on Rounder Records. Gordon and his band will play a special intimate warm-up show at The Iron Horse in Northampton, MA on June 30th. Also of special note is the September 4th show in Chicago, IL at The Park West, which will feature multiple musicians and performance artists, all to be announced shortly.
For his touring band, Gordon auditioned a myriad of musicians over the past six months. The five-piece includes longtime collaborator Scott Murawski on guitar, Vermonters Craig Myers on percussion and Tom Cleary on keyboards and Brooklyn drummer Todd Isler.
