Jack White’s ‘Lazaretto’ Ultra LP Breaks First Week Vinyl Sales Record

In the wake of overwhelmingly positive reviews, must-see TV appearances and monumental performances everywhere from Governors Ball to Bonnaroo, Jack White has now seen his sophomore album Lazaretto (Third Man Records/Columbia) debut at #1 on the U.S. album chart.

Lazaretto is Jack’s second #1 debut in as many albums, its 137,732 first week total surpassing that of 2012’s Blunderbuss.

Additionally, the Lazaretto vinyl ULTRA LP has sold over 40,000 copies — the highest first-week vinyl sales since Soundscan began tracking sales data in 1991.

Lazaretto also debuted at #1 in Canada and Denmark.
