Juno Award winning City and Colour embark on a cross country trek in support of February 08 release “Bring Me Your Love.” Featured as “Pick of the Week” at Starbucks in Austin, TX leading up to his Austin City Limits appearance, City and Colour was also chosen as the first Starbucks Canada “Pick of the Week.” You may recall, the first-ever City and Colour shows in N.Y.C. and L.A. A throwback to the days when an album’s thrills and beauty were found not just in exceptional songs and musicianship, but also in its blemishes and simplicity, the instruments and vocals for “Bring Me Your Love” were carefully recorded live off the floor, giving the songs depth and intimacy, and eschewing the cut-and-paste approach that is so common in today’s recordings.
WHAT: Green, who until a couple of years ago was better know as the dulcet voice of Alexisonfire, released his debut album “Sometimes” in 2005 to great acclaim and Platinum record sales. Green continues to demonstrate his talents as a musician, singer and songwriter moving comfortably and seamlessly between City and Colour and his role anchoring a successful post-hardcore band well into 08 as “Bring Me Your Love” released February 12, 2008 debuts at #3 on the Top 200 Soundscan chart and is #1 selling album on iTunes during release week. The dozen tracks on “Bring Me Your Love” are a beautiful insight into the quieter side of an undisputed talent.
