NYC instrumental prog/rock foursome TAUK released their brand new album “Collisions” this past summer an invigorating listen that builds upon its debut album Homunculus and its relentless tempos and dynamic sounds. “I like to think of this album as an extension of Homunculus,” explains bassist Charlie Dolan. “We took some of our favorite parts of that album and expanded on them with new sounds and musical flavors. It’s music that makes you think, but also makes you dance.” Along with Dolan, TAUK is Matt Jalbert (guitar), Alric “A.C.” Carter (keyboard/ organ), and Isaac Teel (drums).
Glide is thrilled to premiere an exclusive “Making of Video” from Cove City Studios featuring the melodic prog instrumental “Tumbler.” “After we finished Collisions we took to Cove City Sounds Studio to record this video because we wanted to give TAUK fans a behind-the-scenes look at some of our songs – in this case “Tumbler.” It was a fun way for everyone to see us in our element, a brief adventure into the musical minds of TAUK,” explains the band.
The band was just voted “Best Jam Band in NYC for 2014” on the Village Voice and will be touring this winter with Umphrey’s Mcgee. They also have an upcoming show (12/30) at NYC’s Best Buy Theatre with Disco Biscuits.
