Perpetual Groove will be holding a light schedule during the first quarter of 2009, as they begin the process of assembling their first studio album with new keyboardist John Hruby. The band will be recording in their hometown of Athens, GA, but will be popping out of the studio in February for a few select shows, most notably, a performance with Lotus in Knoxville at The Valarium on the 20th. The guys will also be making appearances in Gainesville, Tampa, Tuscaloosa, and Oxford before the month ends.
Perpetual Groove will be returning to the Northeast in late March for a slew of shows. Highlights include stops at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT (with Lotus), a return to Troy for an appearance at Revolution Hall, and the band’s debut at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City. The guys will also be returning to The State Theatre in Falls Church, The Recher Theatre in Towson, and will be making their debut in West Chester, PA at The Note.
Keep your eyes peeled to www.pgroove.com – as they have been hard at work on a new site for the past couple of months, and the launch is immanent. In addition to a new style and layout, a plan calls for a brand spanking new online store and the availability of official live recordings straight from the band.
