You may be as surprised as we are to find out that Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy was asked to write the theme song for a sitcom called All My Life back in 1998.
The Christina Applegate-led Friends imitation hit the airwaves later that year with the revised title of Jesse, complete with a theme song written by The Tories. But The Good, The Bad, and The Unknown busted out a cassette tape featuring two of Tweedy’s demos that didn’t make the cut. Jesse didn’t make the cut either; it was unceremoniously canceled after two low-rated seasons. And, yes, we know the name of this column is MP3 Boot Camp, yet these files are WMAs. Pat yourself on the back for being so observant [via hitsfromtheblog].
