Lollapalooza Headliners Confirmed

While C3 Presents doesn’t plan to announce the Lollapalooza 2008 headliners until Monday, Jim DeRogatis doesn’t have the patience to wait on the Texas-based promoters. DeRo and his Chicago Sun-Times cohorts confirmed all of the major artists playing the festival through industry sources.

Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, The Raconteurs and Kanye West will headline the main stages on August 1-3 in Grant Park. As if that wasn’t enough Gnarls Barkley, the Black Keys, Broken Social Scene, G-Love and Special Sauce are also among the 100+ bands performing at Lollapalooza.

I know this may be hard to believe, but Jack Johnson doesn’t appear to be on the bill. One of the weirder bookings is Blues Traveler who just played Lollapalooza in 2006. Stay tuned to DeRo’s Chicago Sun-Times blog for the full lineup.
