When you’ve got as many bands playing on as many stages as they’ve got at this year’s Bonnaroo there are sure to be some conflicts. Some of the doozies revealed in the just released schedule for ‘Roo ’08 include 2 Super Jams vs. MMJ vs. tDB vs. Tiesto late night on Friday and B.B. King vs. Ben Folds vs. Zappa Plays Zappa vs. Levon vs. Iron & Wine vs. Little Feat on Saturday afternoon.

Finally, our fluffing hearts were filled with joy to see that Trey Anastasio, the former lead singer of Phish, was sentenced to three years on probation Wednesday after a felony guilty plea he entered last year was vacated in Washington County Court. Big Red graduates from the Washington County Drug Treatment Court on June 18, after passing all of the drug tests thrown at him over the past 17 months.

There are some conflicts, as to be expected: possibly The Swell Season over the Bluegrass Allstars, then the Bluegrass Allstars the next day; leave Zappa Plays Zappa early to see Iron & Wine (missing Levon Helm); skip Phil Lesh to see Sigure Ros; catch Broken Social Scene on the Sonic Stage, but will that make up for missing them because of Plant and Krauss; then race over to catch the end of Derek and Susan? Grr . . .
I’m a little disappointed I have to choose between Gogol Bordello and Ozomatli. But when it comes down to it, I might have to go with Gogol. Sigur Ros and Chromeo are also a conflict for me. I’ll be disappointed to miss Chromeo, but I’ll definitely be at every second of the two hour SR set. There’s going go to be a lot of running around this year, that’s for sure. Theres nobody I won’t be able to see, but I’m going to have to cut some sets short… I’m really in debate over seeing all of MMJ or jumping over to the Disco Biscuits and missing the last hour… The Levon Helm and BB King overlap just plain sucks.
i am pretty much on the same note with everyone else with being pissed i have to miss all those late night shows but its mmj and sigur rose.. Other then that i am gonna be deff doing alot of half shows.. The one that really bugs me is The Raconteurs/les claypool/!!!/bluegrass mixup.. dont really know what to do then.. What really pisses me off is they have to schedule Howlin Rain during mmj. What gives? The couldn’t have put them on Saturday night’s late night???
