If the remaining members of the Dave Matthews Band believe in the theory that “bad things happen in threes,” they should be extra careful during the rest of their Summer Tour which limped to Charlotte last night. First, keyboardist Butch Taylor quit unexpectedly just two days before the tour started. Then on Monday sax player LeRoi Moore took a nasty spill in an ATV accident on his farm outside Charlottesville.
Yet DMB marches on, and according to folks that are into that sorta thing the band is killin’ it. Jeff Coffin has stepped up to fill in for Moore whose condition has been upgraded from Serious to Fair. We can’t wait to hear Coffin’s work on Sledgehammer, which the DMB added to their rotation on Saturday.

Last night the BBC aired a long lost tape containing a nine-minute interview in which John Lennon and Paul McCartney discussed the way they composed songs together. The clip was recorded on April 30, 1964 during the peak of Beatlemania. Audio of the broadcast hasn’t surfaced on the ‘nets yet, but we’re on the lookout.
