After an extremely slow start, Rhino Records has finally started unveiling new Grateful Dead archival releases at a decent pace. Rhino’s next release–Rocking The Cradle – Egypt 1978–contains 2 CDs and 1 DVD worth of material from the Dead’s historic concerts at Giza. While musically these shows are known for their mediocre performances, we can’t wait to check out the 100+ minute DVD of footage from the third and final Egypt show featuring the backdrop of a rare lunar eclipse.
For more info on Rocking The Cradle – Egypt 1978, which is available on September 30, visit Dead.net. Those folks who pre-order the set will get a bonus CD featuring additional performances from Egypt.

ticketbastard-
i went online at noon sat to order chicago bear tickets, same exact thing. I was on there for over an hour on high speed connection, never go thru, it told me to go to ticketsnow. Tickets Now and other brokers have had guaranteed tickets since after nfl schedules came out…
For 10 years I have gone to bigger events and just bought ticktes from scalpers AT, but mostly below, face value if I waited until kick off or after opening act started. Ticketbastard is trying some ticketless tix deal so that may not always work.
apologies for quick badtyppoing
