Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Old School Samples

Back in the days when jambands were called H.O.R.D.E. bands, Boulder’s The Samples made a name for themselves by writing a ton of catchy songs and inserting a slew of tasty solos into the rock/reggae stew they cooked up. Sadly, they are one of the most recent entries to the Jamband Graveyard after calling it quits in April. Let’s continue Pullin’ ‘Tubes – Jamband Graveyard week with a video from the band’s heyday in the mid ’90s.

Back in 1993, the Dave Matthews Band frequently opened for The Samples and the DMB even covered Nature occasionally. During many of those shows, members of the DMB often sat-in with The Samples and vice versa. Here’s one of the best collaborations to come from that tour – Dave Matthews guesting with The Samples on Did You Ever Look So Nice?
