Anyone that has been a fan of Irish singer/songwriter Damien Rice will undoubtedly be familiar with the name Lisa Hannigan – who provided the gorgeously sexy vocal accompaniment on his two albums. After releasing his sophomore effort 9, Rice decided to part ways with the singer saying that he felt their partnership had run its creative course.
While the move may have bummed more than a few fans out, it proved to be productive for Hannigan who headed to the recording studio and started laying down demo tracks that she regularly uploaded to her MySpace page. Hannigan is now set to release her solo debut Sea Sew on ATO Records – which hits stores on February 3, but is available now via iTunes. The Irish-folkie-chanteuse recently released her first video for Lille the lead single off the album, check it out…

Lisa hits the road in mid-February for a month long U.S. tour – so catch her when she hits a city near you.
