In general, the tracks I select for this relatively new feature are recent compositions and somewhat short. Well, I almost used the track Mirrors from this show because it met those criteria, but instead decided to use this 30+ minute segment. Hey, it still includes one of the newer tunes from tDB. While The Biscuits did recently cancel a handful of California dates, they have confirmed they will be back starting on April 17th at the Electric Factory.

The Gene Ween Band features Dave Dreiwitz (Bass & Tuba), Scott Metzger (Guitar), and Joe Russo (Drums). This track selection is a Ween song you’ll only find on their release All Request Live. This band has a dozen gigs still upcoming, starting tonight in Boston and concluding on July 19th in Seattle.

This lineup of the Marco Benevento Trio features Reed Mathis (Bass) and Simon Lott (Drums). Marco is off the road for a couple of days and when he returns later this week, it is unclear who will be his supporting band. The only musician listed on his website for the gig in Ithaca is Marc Friedman of The Slip. This selection is off of Marco Benevento’s 2009 solo disc Me Not Me.
