A few months back we mentioned that former Phish collaborator Kid Rock was throwing his hat in the craft beer business ring. The Detroit native will debut the new brew at his upcoming two-night stand in his hometown at Comerica Park on July 17 and 18. Dubbed American Badass Beer the American-style lager initially will be available only at kiosks in Comerica Park during those shows, and will be “rolling out in Michigan in the coming weeks, followed by a number of Midwest market openings. ”

Finally, in what is sure to produce some quite interesting results Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme have headed into the studio to begin work on a new album. Details about the trio’s studio sessions have been kept on the d/l, but it has been reported that Grohl will be on the kit.
