As a way of commemorating her thirty year recording career alt.country legend Lucinda Williams will celebrate by taking up residency at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza from October 3 – 5.
Over the course of her special three-night stand Williams will play two set shows, with the first set drawing from the different eras of her nine studio albums. Here’s the breakdown: October 3 – material she recorded from 1979 to 1989 (Ramblin, Happy Woman Blues, Lucinda Williams), October 4 – 1992 to 2001 (Sweet Old World, Car Wheels, Essence) and October 5 will feature music from 2004 to 2009 (World Without Tears, West, Little Honey).

Finally, it’s been awhile since we brought you any news on the festival front, but as the summer winds down you can still get you’re festie fix in courtesy of the Baltimore’s Traffic Jam Fest. The three-day indoor-outdoor event will take place in Charm City over the course of Labor Day weekend at the Sonar and is set to feature the likes of MMW, Leftover Salmon, TLG and KDTU – individual and three-day passes are available now.
