Our friends at Jambands.com have just unveiled a years-in-the-making redesign today and it looks so fresh and so clean. While we’re still holding out hope that RSS feeds will surface soon, we just wanted to congratulate Dean, Mike and the whole Jambands.com team on a job well done.
Besides unveiling the new design, they also posted a few articles of interest. First up is a poll where readers can vote on what songs moe. should play on Halloween at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, NY. A number of veteran moe.rons put the list of longtime fan favorites and uber-rare covers together and the band will perform some of the top selections. We’d like to take this opportunity to endorse our faves: Ugly American, Ghost of a Child and Montana by Frank Zappa. Democracy rules, so make your voice heard.
Also, Phish fans will enjoy Dean Budnick’s chat with bassist Mike Gordon. Dean talks to Mike about his solo band, but also finds out who was behind Phish’s decision to bring Destiny Unbound back into the fold. Finally, Budnick also sat down with Widespread Panic archivist Horace Moore to talk about all of the work that goes into picking and producing the Widespread Panic Archives series of releases and how Horace became friends with the band.
