Long before it played host to Phish’s Festival 8 last October, the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA has been home base to the indie-centric Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Now in its eleventh year, festival organizers Goldenvoice Presents revealed the initial line up for the 2010 version early this morning which will be headlined by the diverse trifecta of Jay-Z, Muse and Gorillaz. Let’s take a look at the full lineup in graphic form…
Other notable names appearing over the course of the three-day fest are the return of the original rap-rockers Faith No More and the recently reunited Pavement, a solo set from Radiohead front man Thom Yorke and an ultra-rare “scheduled appearance” by 1960s funk legends Sly & The Family Stone. HT faves Vampire Weekend, Deer Tick, The Avett Brothers, Frightened Rabbit and She & Him will also be logging time in the desert.
Tickets for Coachella go on sale Friday, January 22 at 10:00 AM at all Ticketmaster locations & coachella.com. Three-day weekend passes are $269.00, plus surcharges. Is this lineup good enough to get you to Indio?
