If Oliver Stone’s much maligned biopic about The Doors left a bad taste in your mouth, the producers behind When You Are Strange – a new 90 minute documentary about the LA-based band – are looking to change that. The film, which is narrated by Johnny Depp and features on and off stage footage shot between the band’s formation in 1965 and Jim Morrison’s death in 1971, will hit select cities on April 9, and will also be aired as part of PBS’ American Masters series this May.
