Freebie: Turbine’s Sounds in the Hall

Chuck. Chuck. It’s Marvin – your cousin, Marvin BERRY. You know that new sound you’re looking for? Well, listen to this…

As a special treat exclusive to Hidden Track, former Blips artist Turbine and Mason Jar Records have offered up a free download of their forthcoming live album, Sounds in the Hall. The album features live renditions of both new tunes and old classics hand-picked from performances at Bonnaroo, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Boulder’s Fox Theater.

You really can’t go wrong, but I highly recommend the jam segment in the latter half of Behind These Walls (included below), the laid-back Eddy the Sea, the blazing pick and harp interplay of Maritime Blues, and the hit-single in waiting, Blackout Song.

To celebrate the release, Turbine will host a two set show with The Brew opening this Saturday night at the Mercury Lounge (The Brew at 10 pm, Turbine at 11 pm). You can grab tickets here if you’re interested in coming out. Hope to see you there.
