Friday Mix Tape: Stones Covers

For this week’s Friday Mix Tape, we’ve selected six Rolling Stones covers of interest for your streaming delight. The artists involved run the gamut from alt-rock to jam-rock to zydeco with a healthy dose of our faves.

We kick off the mix with My Morning Jacket’s cover of Loving Cup from Bonnaroo ’06. Next, we’ve got Buckwheat Zydeco’s cajun-flavored take on Beast of Burden. ’90s alt-rockers The Sundays provide its version of Wild Horses followed by the Jerry Garcia Band’s slow-and-steady cover of Let’s Spend The Night Together. Oasis contributes Street Fighting Man before Gov’t Mule closes things out with a dub-style version of Play With Fire featuring Michael Franti from the Mighty High LP.
