God Street Wednesdays: GSW on Land

We’re just a few weeks removed from God Street Wine’s four action-packed reunion shows in New York City and Winos are already focusing in on the band’s next gig as part of Jam Cruise 9. GSW fan Ross Minot has started a Facebook group in an effort to get the band to perform on land in Florida either before or after the cruise. Join Vote God Street Wine Onto Land if you’d like to help Ross with his effort.

There’s been much debate about which 2010 God Street show was the best and I fall squarely in the first night at Irving camp. An amazing matrix of that July 16 performance has been uploaded to the Live Music Archive thanks to Eric Budke and Scott Brown, to help you judge for yourself.  Eric took Scott’s audience recording and mixed it with both the two-track soundboard feed and eight-track soundboard feed with incredible results.

  1. Best shows of the 4 night run? …IMHO it would be 7-10-2010. Set list is very strong with old cuts and some GSW classics. Drive West was epic. And that Mantoloking was the highlight of the entire reunion run. Throw in that Prudence and Nightengale encore and you’ve got one of the greatest GSW shows ever.

I’m all for a FLA gig pre jamcruise and/or post cruise. I’ll be there a day early and a day after the cruise so please bring it.
