As we gear up for the start of fall tour, Phish has just announced their plans for New Year’s. The band will play two shows at the DCU Center (formerly The Centrum) in Worcester on December 27 and 28 followed by three shows at Madison Square Garden on December 30, 31 and January 1. This marks the first time the band will perform on January 1, which falls on a Saturday this year.
The presale for tickets is currently underway at http://phish.portals.musictoday.com/ and will end Saturday, October 2nd at Noon EST. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, October 9th at Noon EST (for MSG) and Sunday, October 10th at 10:00am EST (for Worcester). Phish has announced that they will, as usual, perform three sets on New Year’s Eve. Still no word about whether they will indeed perform three sets on Halloween in Atlantic City.
Do you plan on attending these shows? What do you think about the addition of an off-day to the mix and the show on January 1st?
