Midlake Plans 2010 Tour

In January, Midlake, the acclaimed pastoral Indie-rockers whose song "Roscoe" was recently named "one of the top 100 songs of the decade" by Rolling Stone, will launch their eagerly awaited 2010 headlining tour January 5th. The band’s first tour since 2007 is in support of its forthcoming album, ‘The Courage of Others’ (out Feb. 2 on Bella Union), which Spin and Stereogum have both picked as one of the most anticipated albums of 2010.

Since coming off the road in 2007, Midlake devoted over two years to writing and recording the new album, their first since their 2006 indie hit ‘The Trials of Van Occupanther.’ The band includes singer and primary songwriter Tim Smith, bassist Paul Alexander, drummer McKenzie Smith, and guitarists Eric Pulido and Eric Nichelson.

The tour culminates with an appearance at SXSW, Midlake’s first in three years, marking a return to the festival that launched their 2006 breakout.
